ENHANCING ORAL HEALTH WITH ONE-PHASE DENTAL IMPLANTS

A Comprehensive approach to oral rehabilitation with one-phase dental implants

Introduction
Oral health is vital to our overall well-being, and maintaining a healthy smile is crucial for aesthetic and functional reasons. However, tooth loss can significantly impact our ability to eat, speak, and confidently smile. Fortunately, advancements in dental technology have paved the way for innovative solutions, such as one-phase dental implants, that offer efficient and effective oral rehabilitation. This article will explore the benefits and procedures of oral rehabilitation with one-phase dental implant.

Understanding One-Phase Dental Implants:
Another common name for this dental implant is immediate loading since it is loadable immediately after implantation. One-phase dental implants have revolutionized the field of restorative dentistry. Unlike traditional two-phase implants, which require two separate surgical procedures with a 5-6 months waiting period in between, one-phase implants streamline the process by combining implant placement and crown attachment in a single operation. This innovative approach provides numerous advantages for patients seeking oral rehabilitation.

Procedure
The procedure for oral rehabilitation with one-phase dental implants involves several steps to ensure a successful and efficient treatment outcome:
Initial Consultation
The first step is an initial consultation with a dental implantation professional. During this appointment, a comprehensive examination and evaluation of the patient's oral health are conducted to determine their suitability for dental implant treatment. That includes assessing bone density, gum health, and overall oral hygiene.
Treatment Planning
We make a customized treatment plan based on the evaluation to address the patient's specific needs and desired outcomes. That includes determining the number and placement of implants required for optimal oral rehabilitation. Advanced imaging technologies, such as cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), may aid treatment planning.
Implant Placement
The next step is the surgical placement of the immediate loading dental implant. The implant, typically made of biocompatible titanium, is carefully inserted into the jawbone. We perform one-phase implant-based oral rehabilitation under general anesthesia, so right before the operation, anesthesia occurs. This way, the intervention is 100% pain- and discomfort-free. With one-phase implants, the implant itself extends above the gum line, eliminating the need for a separate second surgery for exposure. It reduces the overall treatment time and enhances patient comfort. The intervention takes a few hours, and the preparation of permanent, temporary denture(s) fixed on the implants takes a few days. The patient leaves with a perfectly functioning temporary denture attached to the implants.
Osseointegration
After implant placement, a crucial process called osseointegration takes place. Over several months, the implant integrates with the surrounding bone, forming a strong and stable bond. This integration provides a secure foundation for the final denture restoration.
Permanent denture
Once the implant has fully integrated, a custom-made crown is attached to the implant for about six months. The denture is carefully designed to match the color, shape, and size of the patient's natural teeth, ensuring a seamless and aesthetically pleasing result. We ensure that the crown's occlusion and fit are precise for optimal oral function and comfort. The price of the permanent set of teeth is not included in the package price of the dental implantation.

The benefits of one-phase dental implants
Time Efficiency - By combining implant placement and crown attachment into a single procedure, one-phase implants significantly reduce the overall treatment timeline. Patients can enjoy restored oral function and aesthetics in a shorter period than traditional implant methods. This efficiency particularly benefits individuals who desire a faster oral rehabilitation process.
Immediate loadability - That means, among other things, that the long-term temporary denture made after implant placement is attachable to the implants. That is not the case with two-phase.
Consists of a single piece - As its name implies, this implant is a single piece, which has additional positive benefits. Two-phase is not. It makes implantation easier, and the time spent on implantation is shorter
Wide range of uses - One-phase dental implants are implantable not only in the tooth bone but also in the jaw bone. This type of implant is also usable in case of bone deficiency. It is implantable perpendicularly and at a different angle. It is essential in the case of bone deficiency because it enables the reach of the most suitable bone tissue. There is no such possibility with two-phase. For the reasons listed, using a one-phase implant most likely makes bone replacement unnecessary

Conclusion:
Oral rehabilitation with one-phase dental implants offers a comprehensive and efficient approach to restoring oral health and confidence. One-phase implants have become a preferred choice for patients and dentists by simplifying the treatment process and delivering excellent aesthetic results. ONE-PHASE DENTAL IMPLANTS – FULL MOUTH RESTORATION IN GENERAL ANESTHESIA

With One-phase dental implants, oral rehabilitation is possible in 3-5 days?

One-phase dental implants explained
Let me explain at the outset that the term one-phase is another name for an implant that can be loaded immediately. In other words, immediate loading implant. In this writing, the two names are used interchangeably, but in both cases, it means the same implant and implantation method.

To put it very simply, a dental implant is nothing but an artificial tooth root used to replace the natural tooth root. It is made of fabric-friendly, high-grade titanium alloy. There are different types of dental implants for one purpose only: the replacement of the natural tooth root. There are basically two main types of implants and implantation methods. One is the conventional two-phase implant, the other is the one-phase implant, also known as immediate loading implants. We will discuss the latter in more detail in this article, but if you are interested in a two-phase implant, you can read more about it here.

What is an immediate loading implant?
This type of implant and implantation method got its name by the fact that implantation and denture preparation is done in one phase, unlike a traditional two-phase implant. One of the most tangible results of this is that the time taken for a denture is a lot shorter than you think. Not all the same that a denture will be completed in a few days or months!

One-phase dental implants are also different from traditional multi-piece implants in that they consist of only one single piece! This has huge additional benefits for the patient as it is cheaper, easier to implant it, and so on. Since a one-phase implant is a one-piece implant, it can be made in a variety of shapes and forms to suit particular requirements. The best example of this is when the implant head is at an angle to the screw portion so that it can be implanted not only vertically, but also obliquely in the tooth bone.

What is the difference between implantation under local anesthesia and general anesthesia?
First of all, it should be stated that implantation of one-phase implants does not necessarily require general anesthesia! In the vast majority of cases, local anesthesia is perfectly adequate. At the same time, there are those who terribly afraid of dental intervention and so not being able to cooperate with the oral surgeon as expected. In such cases, anesthesia under anesthesia is recommended. You can read more about this here.

The one-phase dental implants implantation process
As mentioned in the previous paragraph, it is easier to implant a one-phase implant. This is indeed the case, as there is no need for incision of the entire gingiva and subsequent suturing after implantation. One-phase implantation begins with a panoramic X-ray since it is extremely important for the implantologist to get an accurate picture of the condition of the jaw, the quantity, and the quality of the jawbone.

In the next step, the implantologist will plan exactly where, how many implants, and at what angle must implant. The implantologist has to be accurate on that because the implants have to be sufficiently stable to perform their function, which is nothing more than a stable fixation of the denture. Once the number and type of implants to be implanted have been determined, local anesthesia is performed according to the patient's sensitivity.

As mentioned above, the implantation of a one-phase implant does not require a gingival incision. On the predetermined point, the implantologist drills a hole with a diameter corresponding to the size of the implant that will be implanted through the gum into the jawbone, at a predetermined point. This is a completely invasive surgical procedure since the penetration to the bone tissue happens only at a tiny point of the gum tissue. The implantologist then screws the implant into the hole drilled into the bone tissue so that it cuts the thread itself into the bone. This method achieves the highest tissue adhesion between the implant and the bone, further providing the implant with the greatest stability.

Implantation in this way is much gentler than any other oral surgery, including two-phase implantation. Since the one-phase, immediate loading implants can be loaded immediately, the denture-making process can start right after the implantation process. With this method, complete oral rehabilitation, meaning complete upper and lower denture, is completed in less than 5 days! Dentures fixed on one-phase implants provide perfect biting and chewing power, as well as an extremely beneficial facial appearance.

What are the definite benefits of one-phase dental implants?
The use of Immediate Loading Implants has a number of benefits when compared to another common implant method, the traditional two-phase implants. In addition to its benefits, it has one known drawback, its cost. it is mostly due to the high cost of implants being used. And for that reason, this otherwise perfect method inaccessible to many.

Perhaps the most important benefit of immediate loading implants is the speed. As mentioned above, complete oral rehabilitation is completed in a few days and this itself is an extraordinary value. It is hardly comparable to the other most common method, the traditional two-phase implant, as it takes 3-6 months to make the dentures with them. And the more serious, double surgical intervention was not even mentioned.

Another great benefit of one-phase dental implants that they can be a solution for those with significant bone deficiency!! This occurs especially to those aged 45-50 and above who are most in need of complete dentures. A biphasic implant can only be implanted if there are a sufficient amount and quality of bone available. With one-phase implants, this problem can be overcome in most cases.

It's definitely also a benefit that an immediate loading implant is a single piece, so inherently cheaper than a multi-part two-phase implant. The total cost of two-phase implant components is higher than that of a single, one-piece implant.

Another important fact to mention about one-phase dental implants. Unlike the vast majority of dentists, we work with a so-called package price. This means that we do not price per implant, per ancillary element, and sub-process. Although we also give implant prices, we have a certain price for a certain treatment. After all, our package price is significantly more favorable to the patient than the sum of the prices and the partial costs of the work processes. We are absolutely confident in our pricing, so please compare our prices with other dentists' prices offering the same service. You'll find out that our package prices are absolutely pocket-friendly. Finally, one more good news for you, unlike most dentists, our consultation is FREE!
