Implant-fixed dentures are the best solution known today, but how much the price of dental implants?
There are two common ways to replace missing teeth, one is the well-known conventional bridge or prosthetist and the other is the bridge or denture fixed on the implants. The essence of the traditional method is that either the existing healthy teeth fix the denture, for example at bridges, or in case of complete lack of teeth, the denture is fixed on the gums with a prosthesis adhesive. Another, increasingly common solution is to fix teeth or dentures with dental implants. Despite the fact that the price of dental implants quite high, this type of method is increasingly the accepted standard for fixing dentures.
How many types of implants are there?
Although there are quite a few types of implants, ln one thing all implants are the same: they all replace the original tooth root with excellent results. Although all dental implants serve a similar purpose, there are different implant families and implant types. Different implants also vary in size, shape, properties, and price. The two best-known implant families are the conventional two-phase implant and the immediate loading one-phase implant.
Well-known implant types
There are quite a few well-known brands on the market for conventional two-phase implants. The best known of these is Cortex, Alpha Bio, Nobel BioCare. Factors influencing implant price
The total cost of an implant to be implanted is not equal to the price of the implant itself, and so sometimes is not easy to determine for the person interested! I did the following test: I selected an implant type and regarding the price of dental implants asked three dentists the same question. As I expected, a different price was said everywhere, and that didn’t surprise me at all. This is because the price of dental implants to be implanted can be influenced by several factors.
One price-increasing factor is that the price of dental implants given includes the prices of other elements needed to do the implantation. For example, in the case of two-phase implants, the healing screw or the so-called abutment. Does the price of the implant included in the price of the implantation, because in the case of two-phase implants, for example, the procedure has to be performed twice, once at the time of implantation and then at the time of finalization.
The reason influencing the price of dental implants can be, for example, the reputation, and recognition of the given dental office. A metropolitan institution employing excellent oral surgeons and implantologists, providing other high-quality services and a good guarantee, is likely to give the same implant at a higher cost than a rural dentist, which also provides excellent services in all respects.
The price of dental implants can also be affected by the quality of the warranty. A longer-term, broader warranty can increase the price of the same implant. A significant proportion of patients prefer a slightly higher price, a longer guarantee for greater safety, or other extra services such as dental treatment under general anesthesia.
Let's mention one more circumstance that increases the price of an implant, namely whether it is a package price or an individual price. Although there are few, there are dentists that do not specify the price of the implants but price the implantation itself, creating a so-called package price. For example, if an oral rehabilitation costs 1,375,000 HUF for the upper jaw, it means that everything is included in this price!

As we have seen, the price of dental implants can depend on many things. In this paper, we have briefly summarized what implants are available and what conditions can affect implant prices. We talked about the so-called implant package price and its content. Before deciding which dentistry to make your teeth with, be sure to find out about the specific costs. At the same time, one should not focus solely on price. Other circumstances should be taken into consideration, such as patients’ opinions about the particular dental office and the quality of their dental work.
