What are the two major dental implantation methods?
While talking about dental implants, there are two major types and methods. One is the two-phase traditional and the other one is one-phase immediate loading implants. Let's talk about the most important differences between these two.

In the two-phase, traditional implant and implantation method, the process takes place in two stages, which takes three to six months. The first step is to implant the implants in the jawbone and then insert the so-called "healing screws". Then the patient is given a temporary denture that follows a so-called ossification period of 3-6 months. During this time, the implanted two-phase implants are stably attached to the jawbone. Of the existing dental implantation methods, two-phase is only possible for patients who have the right quality and quantity jawbone. One of the major disadvantages of this implant and implantation method is that it takes a long time.
A one-phase, in other words, immediate loading implants are the other one of the dental implantation methods. As its name suggests, implantation and dentures take place in a single 3-5 day period. This means that the patient leaves with a long-term temporary denture within a few days of implantation. The denture is fixed and cannot be removed by the patient.
Another great advantage of a one-phase implant is that it is a single-piece and exists in different size and shape that meets the patient's individual needs. The fact that the implant is a single piece makes it easier to implant the implants. A simpler and shorter duration of intervention causes less discomfort to the patient. After the implantation, the permanent temporary denture is made, the price of which is included in the price of the implantation. It is important to know that this implantation method does not require bone replacement.
